Core inputs are disputed amount, attorney fee rate, VAT rate, and court expense items. The disputed amount is the base, while rates and expenses define the modeled legal cost layer.

The tool is user-input driven. Applicable tariffs, procedural rules, and fee treatment may vary by jurisdiction and period, so final values require validation against official publications.

The model first computes attorney fee as disputed_amount x fee_rate. It then calculates VAT on attorney fee and adds user-entered expense items to produce total legal cost.

An effective cost ratio is shown as total_legal_cost / disputed_amount. This ratio helps interpret how heavy the legal burden is relative to claim size.

Output is a scenario calculation from your inputs; it is not a final court-issued cost order, binding legal determination, or official accounting statement.

Read total legal cost together with the effective ratio. A higher ratio means cost pressure is stronger relative to claim value and may change negotiation strategy.

Example: disputed amount 500,000, attorney fee rate 12%, VAT 20%, and additional court expenses 18,000. Attorney fee becomes 60,000, VAT 12,000, and total legal cost 90,000.

The effective legal cost ratio is 18%. If settlement can reduce expected burden by 50,000, the cost-adjusted decision path may favor negotiated closure.

The calculator improves pre-case visibility, but jurisdiction-specific caps, fee allocation rules, and court decisions may materially alter final amounts.
